Mathijs Slangen

Senior Analyst

Mr. Mathijs Slangen joined Seabury Group in 2009 as a Senior Analyst where he is involved in the development of the maritime branch of the Cargo Advisory Group. In his role he contributed to the development of the global ocean trade database as well as the ocean forecast models.

Before joining Seabury Mr. Slangen worked at Maersk Line. Initially working for Reefer Management Department where he developed the Central European reefer business strategy. Furthermore he standardized the performance measurement, business development methods for the Central Europe and provided product seminars within the region. He continued his career as National Account Manager for the Netherlands where he was responsible direct customers in the dry container segment for both import and export.

Mr. Slangen started his career in 2004 at Ernst & Young as business consultant (grants and incentives). In this role he advised his customers, mainly in the transport and logistics sector, with the development of innovative (inter)national projects such as terminal development, modal shift projects and network optimization.

Mr. Slangen holds a master’s degree in International Business from Maastricht University.
