Alan Sbarra joined the Seabury Group in January 2008. He has more than 15 years of aviation and aviation-related experience in the areas of strategy development, business and financial planning, economic analysis, and cost analysis. Mr. Sbarra has developed cost-analysis tools and methodologies that allow airlines to benchmark their cost competiveness and productivity to identify areas for improvement.

Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Sbarra was a Founder and Principal of Roach and Sbarra Consulting, where he worked with airline clients to develop strategies for adapting to low-cost carrier competition, and he assisted the U.S. Department of Transportation in reviewing its cost-data collection and analysis techniques. Prior to founding Roach and Sbarra, he was a Vice President of Unisys R2A Transportation Management Consultants where he provided strategic and business planning services to aviation clients and at the predecessor firm, R2A, where he performed economic and public policy analysis for clients such as American Airlines. Mr. Sbarra began his career with United Airlines and also worked for the internet travel distribution company SideStep, Inc.

Mr. Sbarra holds an S.B. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a MBA from the University of Michigan.
