Geoffrey Weston has over fifteen years of aviation and advisory experience. He currently oversees Seabury’s major client relationships in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Mr. Weston joined Seabury Aviation & Aerospace in 2007 and a few months later launched the London office. Aside from leading major engagements, Mr Weston is a regular speaker at conferences on issues of commercial aviation liberalisation and consolidation. He has written several articles for the publications of the Arab Air Carrier Organisation.
Over the last eighteen months he has overseen multiple cost-reduction projects resulting in significant improvements as well as advised CEOs in Africa and the Middle East on their approach to liberalisation (in particular with regards to opening to the European skies). He worked in 2008 and 2009 on the turnaround of a Central European flagship airline and the operational improvement of a Middle Eastern low cost carrier. Other projects have include board-level strategy, fleet optimisation, cargo strategy, alliance design, commercial management structure, cost diagnostics, low cost carrier growth, flight training and pricing strategy. His work at Seabury has also included the strategic review of a major Asia-Pacific carrier’s catering and flight training divisions and the commercial due diligence of a European carbon-fibre aerospace component manufacturer.
Prior to working at Seabury, Mr. Weston held the position of Vice President - Cargo at Royal Jordanian Airlines. In this role he restructured the Cargo organization, developing management reporting and overhauling the commercial teams. He led a major infrastructure upgrade in the cargo warehouse at Queen Alia International Airport, increasing freight flow and significantly improving service levels.
Formerly, Mr. Weston had held the role of Vice President - Network Management and Alliances. In this role he oversaw the airline’s strategy, fleet planning, scheduling, revenue management, air service agreements and interline and alliance matters. He led a re-evaluation of Royal Jordanian’s network strategy which was approved by the Board in the form of a five year network and fleet plan. Mr. Weston ran the appraisal and selection team for a new fleet type which led to the introduction of the Embraer 190 series into the region. Mr. Weston was also a member of the team that negotiated entry for Royal Jordanian into the oneworld global alliance.
Mr. Weston has held senior positions with leading consulting and interim management firms in the United Kingdom and Latin America. He was Senior Interim Manager with Eden McCallum in the UK, leading client teams on various projects linked to new business development and business unit portfolio management. Previous to this he was Strategy Director with Neoris, Mexico, where he directed projects for multinational clients. As Case Team Leader with Bain & Company, Latin America., he led teams of consultants on a range of strategic, financial and organizational issues across that region. Mr. Weston started his career with Deloitte Strategy Consulting in the UK, where he worked on strategies for multinationals and due diligence projects for private equity clients.
Mr. Weston received a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Oxford University.
