Mr. Bowman focuses on providing merger services and strategic advisory to institutional, high net worth, financial services companies. He joined the SeaCap Group in May 2007 following 7 years with Keefe, Bruyette and Woods (“KBW”). At KBW Mr. Bowman was head of the corporate finance group focused exclusively on investment management firms. He and his team lead KBW to league table status as an advisor to investment management firms. Over 15 asset management transactions were completed. Mr. Bowman successfully completed merger transactions, strategic advisory assignments, re-capitalizations and negotiated sale transactions for domestic and overseas clients. He has also been a frequent speaker on issues facing the investment management industry at industry conferences.

Prior to his role at KBW, Mr. Bowman was a Vice President at Citigroup. In this role, he communicated his views on the financial services industry as a fixed income research analyst, conducted strategic planning analysis for Citicorp’s executive management team and sourced new business opportunities. At Standard and Poor’s, Mr. Bowman was responsible for the debt ratings of brokerage firms, commercial banks, savings and loans, and finance companies. He was a frequent speaker on industry issues facing the financial services industry at S&P and industry sponsored events. His views on the industry were also expressed in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and industry publications. He has also been interviewed by CNBC.

At Barclays Bank International, Mr. Bowman worked on a variety of corporate finance projects and deal transactions. The role Mr. Bowman performed as a consultant at Arthur Young and Company in Washington, D.C. contributed to his success at S&P. At Arthur Young, Mr. Bowman provided consulting services to government agencies focused on financial services regulation. Mr. Bowman holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Southern California. He has also completed post-graduate work in public administration from U.S.C.. Mr. Bowman is Series 7, 63, and 24 qualified.
