Myles Goeller is a Managing Director of the Seabury Consulting division, and the head of Seabury’s growing Asia-Pacific consulting practice.
Mr. Goeller has 12 years of strategy consulting experience, with over 9 years focused on the aviation and broader transportation industries. He has worked with a wide range of global airlines, MROs, governments and other aviation industry participants on strategic, commercial and operational projects. He is a lead member of Seabury’s commercial strategy practice, and actively involved in Seabury’s development and publication of a range of aviation and transportation industry outlooks and perspectives.
In commercial aviation, Mr. Goeller has most recently been heavily involved in supporting Cathay Pacific with a fundamental review of its long-term strategy, network, fleet and business model, as well as the subsequent evaluation, selection and negotiation of its order of 30 A350-900 aircraft. Mr. Goeller has also been actively advising a leading Asian low-cost carrier on growth strategy and business planning. Prior to that he spent over 3 years working exclusively with Qantas Airlines to design and manage the execution of a range of strategic, cost and corporate redesign initiatives. Mr. Goeller has previously worked on multiple aviation engagements in North America and Latin America, including US Airways, Air Canada, Frontier Airlines and TACA. In addition to his focus on commercial strategy, Mr. Goeller has extensive experience leading company-wide cost efficiency programs in maintenance, ground handling, catering, flights and cabin crew operations and supply chain optimization.
Within broader transportation industries, Mr. Goeller advises governments, MROs, cargo & logistics providers, airports and other participants on commercial strategy, market forecasting and operational efficiency. He is currently advising the Singapore government on its long-term air cargo strategy and policy, and is also advising a Asian consortium the development of an major Aviation Industrial Park. Mr. Goeller has previously worked with a number of 3rd party MRO and aftermarket providers.
Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Goeller was a senior consultant at Bain & Company, and during his Bain career worked in telecommunications, banking, insurance and mining industries. Prior to Bain & Company, Mr. Goeller spent two years working in internet technology start-ups. Mr. Goeller has a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems (Honors) and Accounting from the University of the Cape Town, South Africa.
