Stewart Lynn joined Seabury consulting in 2006 and has worked on five continents for airlines, MROs,  aerospace companies, and private equity firms. Mr. Lynn brings 7 years of consulting experience, combining generalist management and strategy skills  with a specialized focus in aviation and aerospace.

Since 2008, Mr. Lynn has led Seabury’s aircraft and capacity market forecasting team, helping aerospace companies and investors understand how  unstable macroeconomic conditions affect near-term and long-term flying activity. The market forecasting results have been utilized to help clients shape their business plans as well as to communicate financial results in analyst  and investor presentations. Mr. Lynn has spoken on this topic at conferences of industry experts in both North America and Europe.

Mr. Lynn has extensive experience in private equity due diligence, advising investors on more than 10 discrete projects.  His experience includes both screening aerospace targets to fit the client’s investment criteria as well as detailed financial due diligence to understand deal valuation.  In addition, he supported two major airlines in developing a business plan for a large-scale heavy-maintenance joint venture.

Mr. Lynn has also participated in or led cost reduction engagements for various maintenance organizations around the world.  His experience includes: cost benchmarking, contract negotiation, heavy maintenance, manpower planning, and inventory optimization.

Prior to joining Seabury, Mr. Lynn was a consultant at Bain & Company, and worked in the retail, computer technology, and airline industries.  His project experience at Bain focused on developing a market expansion strategy, optimizing a company’s pricing and promotional spend, reducing R&D overhead, and negotiating supplier contracts.

Mr. Lynn graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a degree in economics and mathematics.  He is completing his J.D. from Stanford University.
