Traffic Database
The Traffic Database is made up of global airport-to-airport cargo traffic volumes, reported by more than 150 member airlines. Next to the actual flown volumes it also specifies the type of operation: freighter or belly services. The Traffic Database can be used for decisions related to competitor assessment, network deployment, and freighter fleet analysis. In combination with the Trade Database, the Traffic Database supports decisions in market sizing and share analysis.
The Traffic Database is:
Comprehensive –Scheduled point-to-point flown traffic data is available for approximately 150 airlines from 1997 onwards. A separation between cargo flown on belly versus freighter aircraft can is made per carrier per flown leg.
Reliable – Cargo data of multiple airline associations is used for validation. Data is processed by a dedicated and experienced data development team with over 10 years of experience in data modeling.
Up-to-date – Data is directly delivered by airlines and is immediately processed by dedicated staff, resulting in short turnaround times.
User-friendly – Data is distributed via Cognos business intelligence software. Data can also be delivered in other file formats upon client request.
Subscriptions to the Traffic Database are available for IATA airlines on a quid pro quo basis; when providing their monthly airport-to-airport volumes, airlines will subsequently receive the volumes of all other participating airlines.
