Seabury’s Consulting group is a boutique advisory firm, focusing primarily on airline strategy development and major operational turnarounds. Our unique approach to consulting blends generalist consulting professionals with seasoned aviation experts. Projects include strategy, cost reduction, operational improvement, contract negotiations and due diligence.

Seabury takes a rigorous analytical approach to all projects to help our clients make sound business decisions in the challenging aviation industry. As a Cargo specialist, you will be a key member of our teams, where you will have responsibility for executing cargo-related projects as a subject-matter expert, ideally with ability to take on project management accountabilities. In addition you would be expected to:

  • Provide pro-active support of sales and networking efforts in Asia-Pacific (incl. preparing pitches, attending meetings, building cargo network etc)
  • Provide client support for Seabury’s Cargo database products (incl. training, demo, questions/analysis)
  • Contribute to Asia-focused R&D (write articles, develop thought leadership)
  • Have willingness and ability to work on Seabury’s non-cargo projects

As your performance and experience develop, you will be given the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in a meritocratic environment. Travel is highly likely across the globe.

To receive an interview, candidates must have:

  • >6 years of experience working for an integrator (DHL, Fedex, TNT, UPS) in Asia or the cargo division of a major Asian cargo airline (Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, etc); The candidate should have worked in departments such as: strategy, business development, M&A, sales & marketing, revenue management

OR

  • >4 years of experience at a top tier consulting firm with extensive experience in the air cargo and broader cargo & logistics industry

AND

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record from a top tier institution
  • Near or native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Track record of achievement in extracurricular and professional endeavors
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and conceptual skills, preferably including Excel modeling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation and initiative to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines while still delivering a flawless product
  • Willingness to travel internationally
