Bijoy Mechery joined the Seabury Group in January 2002 as a Managing Director and also serves as the company's Chief Information Officer (CIO). Since joining Seabury, Mr. Mechery has been responsible for the development of Seabury's Airline Performance Analysis system for a major-U.S.-airline launch customer. He has advised major airlines on IT outsourcing agreements and with efforts related corporate-wide process reengineering. Recently Mr Mechery led the effort in selecting and setting up systems for a US based start up airline with over seventy aircrafts. Mr. Mechery has more than 28 years of extensive information technology experience. From April 1998 to January 2002, Mr. Mechery was a Senior Manager with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGEY) transportation practice where he was responsible for client relationships and delivery of technology projects for major clients, including a revenue accounting replacement project for Continental Airlines, an MRO evaluation project for Continental Airlines, SAP implementation at SIA Group (Singapore Airlines),quality assurance for Blackwoods (Sydney), retail solutions for Howard Smith Companies, SAP installation at Coca-Cola in Manila, SAP installation at Owens Corning, a risk assessment for the Airline Tariff Publishing Company, and a revenue information future state vision for American Airlines. Mr. Mechery was one of the chief architects in the MRO solutions team of CGEY and consulted at Continental Airlines and American Airlines on maintenance process improvements, cost reduction initiatives and system replacements. Prior to joining CGEY, Mr. Mechery was employed by Ansett Australia Airlines from 1991 to 1998, most recently as Corporate Systems Development Manager for Ansett Australia Airlines (June 1995 - March 1998). While at Ansett, Mr. Mechery was responsible for the implementation of SAP across the organization. Additionally, he was responsible for various systems and development projects, including the development of a revenue accounting system, various maintenance and engineering systems and other corporate systems. During that time he assisted Air New Zealand in evaluating, selecting and building a new MRO solution based on the SAP platform. From 1988 Mr. Mechery was with the Lloyds of London as a Management Consultant. Prior to joining Lloyds, Mr. Mechery was with the National Bank of Kuwait from 1978 - 1988, most recently as Project Manager for developing a comprehensive Retail Banking software package. Mr. Mechery holds a B.A. in English, History and Economics from the University of Calicut in India (1975), a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of India (1976) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computing from the National Computing Centre in London (1979). |
