Gert-Jan Jansen is an Executive Director of the Seabury Consulting division and head of Seabury’s Cargo Advisory practice. He is with Seabury since January 2007, strengthening the European office and the Cargo unit in particular. He has 17 years of experience in the air cargo and express industry and demonstrated his ability to support clients in achieving change & performance boosts in dozens of projects across the globe.

Mr. Jansen has recently led projects which included the development of a new air cargo hub strategy for the government of Singapore, an extensive review of a business case for the acquisition of freighters on behalf of a flagship airline in Southeast Asia and a refleeting strategy for an airline in Latin American. He has successfully completed performance improvement projects with significant revenue upside for various clients and has recently worked on a thought piece about the impact of the recession and oil volatility on the cargo industry for several clients. He is currently leading the development of a fleet and network strategy for an airline in the Middle East on top of major revenue boosting initiative for that same airline. Other projects included strategy development, fleet optimization, network strategy, revenue management & pricing, cost diagnostics, demand forecasting and business planning.

Mr. Jansen was co-founder and former director of WorldACD. With most of the world's largest cargo carriers among its client base, he was instrumental in building this global leading provider of commercial information and business intelligence to the air cargo industry.

Before and besides, he was Partner of a management consulting firm that specialized in reorganizations and change management. He gained hands-on experience in developing commercial strategy, real-time performance boosting, implementing new strategy, professionalizing sales & marketing and implementing revenue management in the air cargo industry. Mr. Jansen also was with KLM Cargo where he managed various projects in the domain of network optimization and revenue management.

Educated as a M. Sc. at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management Science of the Eindhoven University of Technology, Mr. Jansen graduated in Operations Research & Statistics.
