John R. Kuehne joined Seabury group as a Managing Director, specializing in Workforce Analytics in 2008 and added the additional duties of CFO for the Seabury group in 2009.

Mr. Kuehne’s analytical background provides meaningful financial metrics that identify the key leverage points necessary to improve the time and precision of the business decision making process. He has extensive expertise in understanding corporate labor cost and business structures, which in conjunction with flexible financial models, enable the ability to transform data into information used to evaluate the impact of proposed strategic and operational changes on union and non union workforces.

Mr. Kuehne has recently contributed toward engagements that included leading the financial analytic support of labor negotiations during the bankruptcies of two major airlines as well as an automotive parts manufacturer resulting in competitive market-based labor cost structures. He also successfully led the financial analytics efforts for one of the world’s largest gaming firms during its most recent labor negotiations for over 25,000 unionized employees at nine mega-resorts as well as during three union contracts negotiated for another subsidiary. John also provides expert witness testimony during labor arbitrations and was a key member of the teams that assisted a U.S. based airline and a global catering company achieve over 15% reductions in their respective labor costs.

Mr. Kuehne has more than 25 years of experience in finance and accounting working with companies in the transportation, communications, manufacturing and gaming sectors. Before joining Seabury, Mr. Kuehne was Executive Vice President and COO of Organizational Concepts International (OCI), a human resources and management consulting firm that was acquired and brought into the Seabury Group in 2008. At OCI, he developed the Workforce Analytics practice which addressed a range of labor relations expertise.

Prior to joining OCI in 1998, he was President of Cargill Communications, Inc., where he took over a start-up company and developed and executed a strategic growth and acquisition plan. After acquiring and developing several key assets, he sold them to his largest competitor, a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. His previous experience includes positions as Executive Vice President, Operations and CFO of SpaceCom, Inc., Assistant Vice President, Communications Industries Division at US Bank and Manager of Corporate Finance at Midwest Communications. He began his career as Supervising Senior Accountant-Audit at KPMG Peat Marwick with a focus on manufacturing, mortgage banking, and the financial services industries.

A member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, Kuehne holds a B.S. Accounting from the University of Minnesota
